Customer Payment Processing

Customers pay for deals directly through the VibeRoute app. Payment information is processed by third-party payment processors. We collect transaction data including:

  • Refund and chargeback information

Business Settlements

For businesses, we collect and process settlement information:

  • Bank account details for receiving settlements

Commission Processing

Commissions are automatically calculated from customer payments and processed as follows:

  • Commissions deducted from customer payment before business settlement
  • Influencers receive commissions directly from customer payments
  • Businesses receive settlement minus commissions and platform fees
  • All calculations are transparent and visible in your dashboard

Commission Verification & Fraud Prevention

To verify commission eligibility and prevent fraud, we collect and analyze:

Commission Verification: Location data is essential for verifying legitimate check-ins and preventing commission fraud. Disabling location services may limit your ability to earn or validate commissions and verify deal redemptions.

Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including to satisfy any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Specifically:

  • Account Data: Retained while your account is active plus 2 years after deletion
  • Financial Records: Retained for 7 years as required by Nigerian tax law
  • Commission & Payment Transactions: Retained for 7 years for audit and compliance
  • Business Verification: Retained for duration of business relationship plus 7 years
  • Location Data: Retained for 2 years for commission verification and fraud prevention
  • Customer Payment Records: Retained for 7 years for financial compliance
  • Settlement Records: Retained for 7 years for business and tax purposes
  • Communication Logs: Retained for 3 years for customer service and dispute resolution
